This year I decided to give both of my kids’ teachers a small item everyday for twelve days leading up to Christmas break.
So here’s a few of the ideas I came up with. Nothing too fancy, but a little extra fun they can look forward to each day!
Each gift was packaged in a white lunch sack using these labels :
For the gifts, I created some tags on my laptop and used some clear craft bags. Here’s an easy one: Reindeer Noses. Really, just an excuse for me to buy cherry sours and Whoppers. Nom nom nom.
I started saving my Crystal Light canisters awhile ago. They come in handy and make great gift containers! These are filled with jolly ranchers and (I used this tag for this one.)
Another tag I created and tucked into a clear craft bag with a tube of Chapstick for a fun – and useful – wintry gift.
I made these ornaments using some extra Scrabble pieces I had in my craft stash. I just glued the letters of the teachers’ last names onto a paint stir stick then strung with a red and white pipe cleaner.
These hand sanitizers were such a hit at Halloween I decided to do a Christmas version for my 12 Days of Teacher Gifts.
I created this tag/bag idea using a few packs of gum and a special note for “extra'” special blessings.
On Polar Express Day, I made sure this chevron scarf was the gift of the day. I made the scarves using fleece fabric from Hobby Lobby.
For this one, I printed the Grinch and put it in a two-sided necklace I purchased in the jewelry section of Hobby Lobby. It opens and closes so you can change the images for different occasions. This gift coincided with “Grinch Day”.
Each teacher also got one of these spoon ornaments that I painted. I included a glittered clothespin to easily clip it to a tree:
And finally, who couldn’t use a little merry and Sprite? I took apart the six pack and gave a few extras to the office staff as well.
Also this week, each staff member/teacher received a roll of wrapping paper with a festive tag as their December Teacher Appreciation Gift from PTA…
Lots of positive feedback from the staff!
Hope you’re inspired to thank a teacher this week. They are our kids heroes.
Merry Christmas.
