This week I made a garland for the staircase using family photos of past Halloween holidays. It’s such a fun way to showcase memories of past Halloween costumes, parties, etc.
I started with a tinsel garland I purchased from Hobby Lobby. It was $7.99 and I used my 40% off coupon.
I tied the tinsel to the banister using orange ribbon that I had in my craft stash.
The pictures are attached with these clothespins also from Hobby Lobby.
You could also hole punch the photos and tie with orange ribbon.
My kids love looking at themselves when they were itty bitty.
And I’ll admit I love it, too!
One of my all time favorite photos of dear daughter #1, going through a hay bale maze.
Dorothy was our very first Halloween costume.
I’m not sure where they learned to pose like this. <grin>
After Halloween, I will keep the tinsel, but swap out the photos for my old Christmas photos like I did in last years’ garland:
Who knows, maybe I’ll even keep the tinsel and do a Valentines version. <smile>
Do you have a favorite way to display family photos? I’d love to hear about it!
