Today I’m sharing some super cute tags I created for Valentines Day (and for anyone who loves a good pun)!

These make super fun treats for classmates, teachers, lunch boxes, co-workers and of course your loved ones!

I printed my tags on various colors of card stock, but you could also print on construction paper or scrapbook paper.

Creative and colorful tags are such a fun way to make your treats look festive!

I attached my tags with washi tape (available at craft stores). They have extra room at the top for you to write to & from information on them.

Hope you get inspired to give a creative Valentine!

Last year I made these fun little Santa-tizers for some teachers when I did a 12 Days of Christmas gift theme. I think they make great little stocking gifts, party favors, co-worker gifts, etc.

These are just 2 oz. purse size sanitizers that you can find inexpensively, especially during flu season.  I used clear tape to attach the tag directly over the label on the bottle.

I put the tags in my Etsy shop today if you want to make your own!

Kris Kringle Kisses = Hershey’s chocolate kisses
Grinch Pills = green peppermints (or green Tic Tacs, green M&Ms, etc.)
Snowman Soup = marshmallows (snow), pretzel sticks (arms), chocolate chips (buttons & eyes) and a candy corn for the nose (or an orange Reese’s Pieces candy would work, too)
Reindeer Noses = 8 Whoppers and 1 cherry sour
Elf Pillows = red/white peppermints
Twiz the Season = Twizzler sticks

And don’t forget this tip when you’re assembling:

So last week was spring break and I worked on a few DIY projects around the house.   Remember this mirror from last year?  It was the first of two.  Well, I finally got around to painting the second one. I’m fast like that.

DIY Mirror Makeover from mudpiereviews.blogspot.com

Here’s how it started.  Bare wood frame constructed by my dad which fits around a store-bought (cheap) full length mirror.

With the help of my little one, we unscrewed the back piece from the frame then lifted out the mirror:

The next picture shows how it looks after we lifted out the mirror and the back piece. The arrows point to where the wood was routed so that the mirror would sit flush in the frame.

Next I moved the frame outside and painted white on the top portion (where I wanted the quote to go).  I used my Cricut to make the letters and put them in place.

I use repositionable contact paper for these types of projects instead of vinyl since I’m only using the letters as a stencil.

Next I gave the entire frame a coat of pink paint.  I used Rustloleum spray paint.  Windy day – extra cans of paint were just holding down my drop cloth.

Here is a closeup of the letters with the spray paint applied directly on top.

By far my favorite part of the project is peeling off the letters!

My little one is happy to have her mirror finally finished…

And another DIY project is checked off the list…

Thanks for visiting. What DIY projects did you get done over Spring Break?! I’d love to know!

Last week I got to try a project I’ve been wanting to try to awhile – painting on burlap.

Pumpkin Burlap Door Hanger

It turned out better than I’d imagined, and I’d definitely paint on burlap again.

Have you painted on burlap before? I’d love to hear about it!

This piece and more available in my Etsy shop.

This week I made a garland for the staircase using family photos of past Halloween holidays.  It’s such a fun way to showcase memories of past Halloween costumes, parties, etc.

Halloween Photo Garland Tutorial by Mud Pie Studio

I started with a tinsel garland I purchased from Hobby Lobby.  It was $7.99 and I used my 40% off coupon.

I tied the tinsel to the banister using orange ribbon that I had in my craft stash.

The pictures are attached with these clothespins also from Hobby Lobby.

You could also hole punch the photos and tie with orange ribbon.

My kids love looking at themselves when they were itty bitty.

And I’ll admit I love it, too!

One of my all time favorite photos of dear daughter #1, going through a hay bale maze.

Dorothy was our very first Halloween costume.

I’m not sure where they learned to pose like this. <grin>

After Halloween, I will keep the tinsel, but swap out the photos for my old Christmas photos like I did in last years’ garland:

Who knows, maybe I’ll even keep the tinsel and do a Valentines version.  <smile>

Do you have a favorite way to display family photos? I’d love to hear about it!
